How honest are we?
This very question by its nature is a paradox – why? Because honesty cannot be measured. Either we choose to be honest. Or we don’t. Either we speak the truth. Or we don’t.
The complexity placed on either saying ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to a situation, either speaking truth or not, either disclosing information or keeping a secret, is for our own convenience, comfort, and is often professed to be for the protection of others i.e. to make sure an individual doesn’t get hurt.
Honesty is very straight forward. Either we are. Or we’re not. The fluctuating variable is the reason supporting our decision.
