Day 401 – The ultimate quest
The quest of the human plight can be summarised as simply this: to be free of the ‘negative…’
Negativity can come from external, bad influences. But it’s not rooted in them. The more I get to know the humble, lowly, forgiving character of Jesus, the more I recognise that every single negative thought and emotion—without exception—is birthed by the ego; that place of self-envisioned self-importance that exists in every single one of us; that place that has the ability to deceive us into thinking we have absolute control over life’s outcomes.
To build a proper, healthy community that sincerely heals and moves on from individual past pains, it takes more than just being nice and wishing each other well.
You cannot swim for new horizons until you have courage to lose sight of the shore…
To build a solution out of reaction to something that is broken will always grant a temporary fix or worse, suppress the issue…It’s no good trying to grow something from seeds that are already dead. In many areas of western civilisation’s infrastructure, we have done exactly this.
Imagine if innovation and creation were conceived out of a pure desire to “love one’s neighbour” and care for the planet
