Day 525 – All that glitters…

Day 525 – All that glitters…
…is not gold…

Day 525 – All that glitters…
…is not gold…
“Do all the good you can,
By all the means you can,
In all the ways you can,
In all the places you can,
At all the times you can,
To all the people you can,
As long as ever you can.”
Anxiety in a person’s heart weighs it down, but an encouraging word makes it glad.
Every single day we are given is a show of God’s love.
To give up your only child to rescue the life of an enemy
To sacrifice your own life for the life of an enemy
To forgive, love, empathise, show compassion, and give good things to an enemy
The saying “you don’t know what you got till it’s gone” is sadly and gladly one of the more memorable ways that we learn sincere gratitude. It’s not through fun times that we’re taught integrity and wellness. It’s through loss that we’re able to recognise how full we are.
The other day, a man asked me if I could ‘turn the other cheek’ if I was physically assaulted. I answered truthfully. In history, the “bridging” power of ‘turning the other cheek’ is second to none.
