The smallest good deed is better than the grandest good intention.
It’s perfectly logical to think that if we appease everybody, we all win. But both history and profound spiritual morality show us that appeasement never works. Why? Appeasement emerges from self-interest. It’s not about other parties being happy. It’s about the appeaser being happy…such a model for collective peace and prosperity can never work.
Yesterday morning, I had a vivid dream that was so clear seconds before my alarm went off…
This is not the first time this has happened.
“The real test of friendship is can you literally do nothing with the other person? Can you enjoy those moments of life that are utterly simple?”
“Wisdom cries aloud in the street, in the markets she raises her voice; at the head of the noisy streets she cries out; at the entrance of the city gates she speaks…”
…I have a recurring dream where I’m walking into an exam hall and I haven’t revised at all…
