Faith or Fear? – [Video 8]
Will we be proactive with God’s calling or reactive to the circumstances?
There is a verse that’s loved by many and repeatedly used as a platitude as though the Christian life were some easy walk down a flowery, garden meadow.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
As much as I love this verse, it’s never been more apt for this generation than today.
But how do we live this out properly and not just use it as some empty statement of positivity?
Simple answer, though certainly not simple in application:
Proactivity in faith over reactivity in fear.
It means being trained in how to be led by the Holy Spirit and operate out of sound doctrine.
Only then can we see what is meant by possessing a sound mind (faith) rather than a spirit of fear.
