Subtract selfish ambition and remove vain conceit…what a clear and uncluttered mind we’d have.
When hardship arises, the real face of a person is revealed. No lies. No half truths. No facade. Shattered masks. And removed pretence.
…when worse happens.
(1) Looking to the future with expectation of specific outcomes – this unwittingly creates anxiety and stress….
Just like how a fine suit doesn’t make the man, an ornate building doesn’t make the church.
Like forcing a rectangle in a circular-shaped hole, or pouring water into a bucket with holes, I’ve come to understand addiction…
Seems like a contradiction. ‘Glad’ and ‘Surrender.’ When is someone glad to surrender? One core pool of thought produces glad surrender: Admission of being absolutely, unequivocally wrong. No ‘buts…’ or excuses – just ‘sorry’ and ‘the want to change…’
