I wrote this poem in 2017. It was a reflection of what I’d learnt following an intensive nine-month group programme of the deepest level of introspection.
Surrender
Wading in a sea of uncertainty
I plead with the Light for a way
The Truth is always clear to see
But self-formed fog obstructs me
The monster is dying painfully
I suffer his screaming anguish
He doesn’t want to go quietly
So he’s deliberately turned on me
But the Way is straight and narrow for us
No matter what the pain
So keep following the real path
Peace and joy are key.
