Adverse circumstances beyond our control are interesting in that we are forced to be patient, because we can’t do anything.
True freedom cannot come from the external. It can’t come from governments and leaders with good intentions, ideologies, laws, or fixed doctrines. Nor coping mechanisms, self-protective devices, mental masks, or philosophical strategies. It can only emerge from a true internal transformation that has dealt head-on with the unfairness of the world.
Fear is self-preserving reaction to visible circumstances. Faith is optimistic proactivity in invisible hopes and dreams.
When I was a child, I was certain that by twenty-seven, I would have a wife and children, a successful career, and financial stability.
When it’s difficult to see where everything is going, especially with the world being what it is today, to offset any doubts, distractions, or deceptions, it can be productive to create healthy challenges…
When hardship arises, the real face of a person is revealed. No lies. No half truths. No facade. Shattered masks. And removed pretence.
