Day 225 – The servant-leader and the leader…
Servant leadership is authority with humility, accountability, and responsibility; a person who knows how and when to command, and also when to confess weakness, and fallibility. Hypocrisy and deceit cannot exist in a person who lives truthfully, transparently, and vulnerably.
On the underground, I often see ads for sleep issues. The promotions sell medication to aid a good night’s rest.
True kindness doesn’t expect any reward…not even a warm, fuzzy feeling. It’s all about the interests of others, even at the expense of our own.
It’s a truly supernatural skill when we’re able to empathise with a person considered by the majority as obnoxious, unpleasant, and unlovable WITH or WITHOUT prior knowledge of their background.
Denying ‘self’ or dying to ‘self’ opens up a new mindset; a new universe of thoughts, intents, desires, ambitions, and emotions.
‘Sending good vibes’ seems to me like a string of words honourably intended to make people feel happy…
The smallest good deed is better than the grandest good intention.
