Gratitude is an underestimated value. Sadly, where it’s learned most is through loss.
The 2016 EEC Easter Conference was fantastic. We’d reviewed Bible scripture in a unique way, that facilitated its practical applications in our lives. On its second day Sat Mar 26, 2016, the conference host asked us to dive into our pasts and excavate impactful moments—both positive and negative—then describe how they’ve worked in our lives….
Talking to a friend about his belief in absurdism last week, he led me to an article and I quote…
It’s perfectly logical to think that if we appease everybody, we all win. But both history and profound spiritual morality show us that appeasement never works. Why? Appeasement emerges from self-interest. It’s not about other parties being happy. It’s about the appeaser being happy…such a model for collective peace and prosperity can never work.
We were discussing consumerism, luxury goods, and our buying habits in relation to Christian faith-founded marriage.
One of the most common articles of wisdom preached is that money can’t buy happiness; regardless of this prevalent stance on life, countless people still want to find out for themselves…
