The pains and dangers of worldly sorrow are real to the Christian heart…
With so much information out there, it’s hard to know who or what to trust. Survival instinct is fantastic for physically perilous fight or flight situations, but I would never trust it as the driver for higher moral reasoning or the deduction of the world’s deeply enigmatic mysteries. Such trust can only be given to one source for “we can only have one master.” …better make sure it’s the right source…

…when a person takes pleasure in inflicting unwanted, unexpected pain on others. There is universal agreement on this. The problem is the discrepancy over what is considered painful between one person and another…subjectivity morality: the greatest confusion in existence.
To build a solution out of reaction to something that is broken will always grant a temporary fix or worse, suppress the issue…It’s no good trying to grow something from seeds that are already dead. In many areas of western civilisation’s infrastructure, we have done exactly this.
Surrendering to God means taking on a resistance to both nature and nurture.
