Caribbean Craziness to United Kingdom – Life Story- Part 1 [Video 2]
Going from living in the Caribbean for five years (2010 – 2014) to London life with new-found faith, I’ve never publicly told the story of how I went from hedonistic, expat, island-life to Christ-crucified believer.
The video below is the first part of the testimony, describing when a friend recommended reading the Bible books Psalms, Proverbs, and Job at a time of great despair in my life.
If you’ve arrived here from my newsletter link, the picture of the sheep covered in mud is representative of an image in my mind, depicting God’s extraction of me from the the entrenched mental thought processes I’d adopted.
It was as if God’s hand reached into a pool of mud and pulled me out.
He has been cleaning me off ever since.
Side note – this image was in my head before I knew about Psalm 40, which describes the rescue of the psalmist David in an identical fashion.
Psalm 40: 1 – 3
I waited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and heard my cry.
He drew me up from the pit of destruction,
out of the miry bog,
and set my feet upon a rock,
making my steps secure.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.
