Day 169 – A good time to read a very deep book…
I vividly recall the first time I–of my own accord and choosing–picked up the one piece of literature (the Bible), that many refuse to believe is a history book.
In hindsight, there were several accompanying questions–some conscious and some subconscious–that I had in deciding to read it:
(1) Why is this book–the Bible–still the No. 1 Best-Selling Book in the world?
(2) Why has life been so unfair?
(3) Why am I here and what’s my purpose?
(4) Why do I have a general dislike of the world?
I’m thankful to say, every question was answered.
At the time, they weren’t the answers I wanted, but they were full responses to my questions that no amount of philosophy, psychology, or religion had been able to fulfil.
