“Okay. Cool. I’ll go then. Talk to you later.”

Arianna Lane has signed off.

I hated when she’d sharply sign off.

On returning home, she’d sent a host of messages.

“I miss you so much.”

“I hate being alone without you.”

“I think I love you.”

“I’m a drunken mess right now.”

“I’m stupidly drunk.”

“Where are you?”

“Forget everything I’ve said!”

When I spoke to her again, I reassured her that I wasn’t afraid of her messages, even though I was apprehensive. My worry didn’t come from what she’d said, but more that she was drinking so heavily.
