In the big city, or country, watching people get away with murder is unsavoury…
For any of us who try to follow a moral compass, viewing what other people escape with can hurt profoundly. We question why they’re allowed to have so much care-free fun or why they’re permitted to do the worst to people, yet receive the best.
The central point of this reflection is to not focus on those individuals, or on anyone else’s walk in life for that matter. It’s not our concern and is a distraction to accomplishing our goals. We need to keep our focus on where we’re directed to and maintain energy distribution toward that end, recognising in serenity that people will be people, and that comparing ourselves with others is an unhealthy comfort.
