Subtract selfish ambition and remove vain conceit…what a clear and uncluttered mind we’d have.
…I just woke from a dream of seeing a relative I’ve not spoken to for a very long time.
The other day, a man asked me if I could ‘turn the other cheek’ if I was physically assaulted. I answered truthfully. In history, the “bridging” power of ‘turning the other cheek’ is second to none.
Like a grumbling, pensioner with a thick, flapping jowl, I can say without any of the traditional old-person embellishment needed that, “I remember what it was like when Skittles cost 27p.”
It’s amazing and tragic how a good, pure intention within human hands can be made into a blessing or curse.
Incredible how one organ can relay so much of a person’s inner workings…
…is that we as a species aren’t damaged by the impact of such an unnatural situation that 2020 has compelled…where ever fear lies,..
