1984 – 1985. Age One.
I was born with a hole in my heart.
I’d have thought this condition rare, but after Googling the birth defect, it would appear that 1 in 500 newborn babies experience this anomaly.
I didn’t require surgery; the hole healed and as far as I know, there were/are no physical or psychological side effects…
