Today it’s 30.3.2020.
An old Primary School friend who I haven’t talked to in just under a decade, messaged me saying he came across the 1990 Christmas clip of my family that I put on YouTube.
That was certainly random…
The cough I contracted at the beginning/middle of March isn’t going away anytime soon.
At this time, I have no other symptoms–thank God–and I’m continually grateful for the peace and joy I’m miraculously experiencing throughout this awful pandemic.
God really trained my mind for a time such as this through perseverance of previous difficulties.
I have nothing but gratitude.
(4) No silver stars for me!
1987 – 1988. Age Four.
I’d learned to read considerably early for my age.
I recall that in my first class at St. Peters Eaton Square Primary School, my teacher Mrs. Tobin would present silver stars to pupils who did well at reading.
But…she wouldn’t give me a silver star.
After complaining to my mother, she told me that Mrs. Tobin had decided I didn’t need this incentive, because I was already able to read.
Look & Read’s fantasy stories had played a large role in my early development of reading.
I loved The Fairground and later, The Dragon’s Eye, which was my favourite.
